This is small proof of concept map made for the ThinkingWithPortals.com Summer Mapping Initiative in 2011. I kept the scope small so I could quickly bang out something novel at a high level of polish, mostly to keep my skills sharp and to sate curiosity. This little map took about a week of nights after work.

A friend pointed me to the ThinkingWithPortals.com Summer Mapping Initiative. After many starts and restarts I finally prototyped something that is 1. suitably restrictive in scale, and 2. interesting enough for me to explore. I wanted to avoid a large sprawl or an over-fixation on visuals and focus on the puzzle design at hand in its stead.
