A friend pointed me to the ThinkingWithPortals.com Summer Mapping Initiative. After many starts and restarts I finally prototyped something that is 1. suitably restrictive in scale, and 2. interesting enough for me to explore. I wanted to avoid a large sprawl or an over-fixation on visuals and focus on the puzzle design at hand in its stead. This map was an experiment and entry into The Door Challenge at Mapcore in 2011. The primary reason for taking this challenge was to get familiar with Portal 2 SDK under a deadline.
